Take two hyper workaholic-shopaholic girls, throw them together during one of the more frenzied weeks in Paris, and what do you get? To tell you the truth, that could have been a very bad scenario given that SL and I were traveling together for 72 hours without ever having met in person before. But as it happily turned out, we made the perfect shopping pair. We had our mental shopping lists…
indulged in endless photography about the thrill of shopping…
and never once complained about how little time we had on any given day–we just trooped on, day after day, particularly with our pilgrimage to the H boutique in the hope of a bag sighting! We’d start the day bright eyed and optimistic…
it might have had something to do with all the sugar 😀 …
then trek to rue Cambon…
followed by the march to the Hermès flagship on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré…
only to be told each day, sometimes twice a day, that there was no Kelly or Birkin available. But depending on the sales associate we were assigned to each time, we would get some interesting tidbits about the company and products. All in all an informative if unrequited search for the elusive bags. Not that I should cry for SL who already has a few coveted H bags of her own. And definitely nor should I weep for myself since I’m starting to think I like the chase more than the kill. But anyway, these trips to the boutiques were still a delicious way to treat the eyes:
So by the end of the day we’d be less bright eyed, a bit worn down from running around the city and fighting public transportation…
We’d grab a late dinner of some sort,
then power up our respective devices to get some work done, get some shut eye, and repeat the same routine the next day. Yeah, so still no bags from H, but we’re already planning a second trip to Paris when I finally get the call. I hope waiting for my K32 is not like Waiting for Godot!
Hi Irene, the hat is size 57 (i think it’s equivalent to a medium). Hope that helps!
Hi Larkie,
May I know what size are you wearing for the Chanel black hat with a camellia you post on Oct 2012?
Thanks
